A Different Way Forward

What if the key to living more fully wasn't doing more—but expanding your capacity for life?

That question changed Sahar Paz's life and became the foundation of House of Paz. Today, she helps others build the internal safety to reconnect with themselves and create lives rooted in peace.

Education & Credentials

Meet the Founder

I'm Sahar—author, speaker, Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer survivor, and founder of House of Paz.

For much of my life, I was living in survival mode without realizing it.

I was the Achiever—building a successful career in healthcare communications, partnering with leading organizations, translating complex science into stories people could understand, and constantly moving toward the next goal.

I was the Caregiver—advocating for others, putting their needs before my own, and eventually navigating my own health journey after being diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

From the outside, I was accomplishing a great deal. But underneath it all, my nervous system was living in fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. I had built a meaningful life, yet my body never felt safe enough to fully experience it.

Then everything changed with a Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer diagnosis.

After years of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and later integrative treatments, I was told I had just 2–5 years left to live. That moment forced me to ask a different question—not simply, How do I survive? but How do I truly live?

The answer wasn't found in one treatment, one mindset shift, or one breakthrough.

It was found in creating safety.

I discovered that when the nervous system remains stuck in survival mode, it becomes difficult for insight, healthy habits, relationships, and even hope to fully take root. Healing wasn't just about medicine or motivation—it required teaching my body that it was finally safe.

That journey led me to become a Certified Somatic Practitioner, a Certified Nervous System Regulation Practitioner, a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, and to earn a certification in Emotional Intelligence through Harvard. These aren't simply credentials—they're the practices that helped me transform my own life.

Most importantly, they helped me become the Visionary.

House of Paz was born from the belief that lasting transformation happens when the mind, body, and spirit begin working together. Through the House of Paz Method—Words, Wellness, and Wonder—I help people understand their patterns through emotional intelligence, regulate their nervous systems through somatic practices, and learn meditation in a way that feels approachable, practical, and grounded in everyday life.

I'm currently pursuing a Master of Science in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology through Alef Trust because I believe we're only beginning to understand the profound relationship between the nervous system, healing, and spiritual experience. My research explores how creating safety within the body may influence our capacity for peace, connection, and expanded awareness, particularly for individuals living with trauma and chronic illness. My hope is to bridge research with real life—making the science of healing practical, approachable, and accessible so more people can move beyond survival and fully experience their lives.

Many of the people I work with have already done the inner work. They've been to therapy, worked with incredible practitioners, read the books, and invested in their healing. What they're looking for isn't more information—it's the ability to finally embody everything they've already learned.

Today, I work alongside therapists, physicians, life coaches, nutritionists, acupuncturists, and functional medicine practitioners, helping clients integrate their healing so it becomes part of how they live—not just something they understand.

My vision extends far beyond this website. One day, House of Paz will become a physical sanctuary where emotional intelligence, nervous system regulation, accessible meditation, and integrative wellness come together under one roof—a place where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and build lives they don't just create, but truly enjoy.

Because I believe the greatest success isn't building the life of your dreams.

It's having the capacity to fully experience it. And that begins by feeling safe enough to come home to yourself.

What Makes House of Paz Unique

House of Paz is built on a simple but powerful belief: lasting healing requires more than treating symptoms—it requires creating the conditions in which healing can occur.

Emerging research in psychology, neuroscience, and trauma has shown that the nervous system plays a foundational role in shaping perception, emotional regulation, resilience, and our ability to engage with the world. When the body remains in a chronic state of survival, even the most effective therapies, lifestyle changes, or spiritual practices can be difficult to fully integrate. At House of Paz, we believe that creating safety within the nervous system is not the end goal—it is the foundation upon which lasting transformation is built.

Our work integrates emotional intelligence, nervous system regulation, and meditation through the House of Paz Method: Words, Wellness, and Wonder. This approach is informed by both lived experience and emerging research exploring the relationship between physiological regulation, cognitive-emotional processing, and our capacity for connection, meaning, and spiritual well-being.

House of Paz also exists to help move the conversation forward.

As a patient advocate and graduate researcher in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology, Sahar is committed to advancing more integrative models of healing that bridge science, psychology, and contemplative practice. Her research explores how nervous system regulation influences our capacity for healing, resilience, and spiritual experience, particularly for individuals living with trauma and chronic illness.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to equity.

Too many people—especially people of color and historically marginalized communities—have experienced healthcare systems that overlooked their stories, dismissed their symptoms, or failed to create environments where they felt safe, seen, and heard. House of Paz believes healing should be both evidence-informed and deeply human. We are committed to helping individuals become active participants in their own healing while contributing to a future where compassion, cultural humility, and nervous system-informed care are part of every conversation.

Because healing isn't just about recovering from what happened.

It's about creating the conditions to fully experience your life.
